What has this opportunity to play in the UFL meant to you?
It has meant a lot to me - just having an opportunity to play the game you love at any level and improve my game is something you always want. The UFL gives you that opportunity and allows you to grow within your game and find yourself without being under such a microscope.

Best memory from being a part of the Stallions?
Winning a championship last season. Any time you achieve the ultimate goal, which is being the best, it’s a great feeling. You know all the hard work you put in as a team paid off. And that is the greatest reward.

What has the off season looked like for you?
I coached high school football this fall! That helped me grow a lot pouring into those kids. We made it to quarterfinals of state. Being a part of the game from a different perspective made me love it even more. And honestly made me hungrier as a player. Spent a countless amount of time with my family, and saw my boys grow daily. Training started for me in October around Halloween , so I’ve been grinding since.

Tell us something we may not know about you. Hidden talent(s)?
I’m sneaky good at basketball. I’ve played my whole life but stopped taking it serious in high school to focus on football. I played weekly this off season to help stay in shape and I fell in love with hooping all over again. I’m a lefty too, so call me Derek Fisher.

Give us a Coach Holtz memory.
My memory is just how much respect I have for Coach. I knew i wanted to play for him after speaking to him once. I was choosing between Stallions and another team coming into UFL, and  it was a tough decision. But, I knew once i I talked to Coach Holtz who I wanted to play for. He was genuine You can tell he loves his players and cares about them as men and not just football players. And he’s a winner at heart. You could tell he was a great leader of men. And I wanted to be a part of it.
